Planning and preparation...

Not the most exciting of titles but this is one of the most important parts of the year - planning and preparing the visit for the children to Sheffield.

This is a task that takes weeks, even months, however at the Sheffield link we are incredibly lucky to have so many keen supporters and sponsors. Sometimes we have so many offers of help it can be like a huge puzzle trying to fit everything in! However, as we all want to give the children as many fun and exciting experiences as possible we'll always try our best to create a packed itinerary and one which will create many happy memories for the children from Belarus. Here at the Sheffield link we're also very lucky that Ben, our link Chair, is so good at organising the itinerary!

We're always keen to hear about potential new activities for the children too. So if you have any ideas or know anyone that may be able to offer a new experience then we'd love to hear from you!

By the time it gets around to the visit it's always nice to know we have enough funds to cover the costs, however it's not unusual for some last-minute costs to appear...fundraising therefore has to continue too. This year we will be running one of our Beetle Drive fundraisers whilst the children are here as well as the Postlines Charity Music Festival. You can see more details of these on the events page on the website or on our Facebook page.

Over the next few weeks you'll be able to check in to this blog to get updates on this year’s CCLL visit to Sheffield. You can get an idea of some of the things we might get up to from the gallery of past visits...THANKS TO OUR LOVELY SUPPORTERS!
