After several months of investigating exactly how you run a Beetle Drive (and, if I'm being totally honest, realising it really is an event just based around the game Beetle which most of us played as kids!) we finally hosted our first Beetle Drive last week.
Setting up an event is always a bit stressful, especially when it is a new one, however after spotting another CCLL link had hosted an event and raised a substantial amount of money I dived in and asked for some advice....Charlotte from @CCLLSEKENT was amazing and shared her resources with me in the space of 24 hours. A little tinkering to suit the Sheffield crowd and then we were ready to go! For a first attempt £248.06 was completley worth the effort. Even with the broken cooker at the venue giving us some last minute headaches, we pulled off an evening of fun....and we are now masters of baked potatoe and chilli transportation!
